Description:
The methodology to be collaboratively developed with our partners will focus on using theater as a resource for teaching the language and culture of the host country among refugees. Theater, as a non-formal and informal training tool, is an activity that helps develop the necessary skills and competencies for a fulfilling life and labor market integration. As a cultural discipline, theater facilitates the integration of refugees into rural environments. By harnessing the proven inclusive and pedagogical value of theater in language and socio-cultural contexts, the present proyect Ecological social theater (TSE) project aims to generate an applicable didactic approach that uses theatrical practice as a tool to complement specialized language and cultural instruction, with a specific focus on labor market integration and training for young SBPI individuals in the field of organic horticulture in rural areas.
Course objectives:
- To promote the integration of migrants into European culture and rural environments.
- To promote and expedite the employment integration of young SBPI individuals with knowledge, skills, and/or interests in the agricultural sector, particularly in the field of agroecology.
- To provide a tool for language, socio-cultural, and labor market integration for refugees through theater in rural environments.
- To raise awareness about climate change and the energy crisis.
- To foster habits of respect and care for the environment that reduce carbon footprint.
- To dignify organic agriculture and local commerce.
- To strengthen the profile of teachers and theater groups working in the field of integration among migrants and refugees.
- To offer a didactic tool focused on labor market integration that complements and specializes in formal language instruction and programs aimed at socio-cultural integration among SBPI individuals.
- To generate a pool of potential users for training courses and workers in the agricultural sector
- To facilitate the emergence of a network of collaboration among organizations and institutions working in the reception and integration of SBPI individuals, companies and entrepreneurs dedicated to training and work in the agricultural sector, and theater groups working on the integration of migrants and refugees.

Activity Summary
Kick off meeting
Meeting dates: 09-30-2022 to 10-01-2022
Place: León, Spain
Description of the activity:
The activity consisted of a working meeting among the participating entities of the event, in which on the first day, there was an initial approach among the consortium members. This included a tapas tour in the historic center of León, exploring the Romantic district and the "Barrio Húmedo" (wet district), which concluded with attending a musical concert in the main square.
On the second day, a working meeting took place from early morning to finalize project management elements such as calendars, consortium operating rules, addressing any questions or doubts, and discussing payment methods. All these matters were debated and approved in a document or project handbook. During this meeting, agreements were signed between the entities, and the meeting minutes were drafted.
Afterwards, a vegetarian lunch was held among the members of the consortium, which was delayed due to the prior work conducted, ultimately preventing the scheduled visit to the Valporquero Caves.
Finally, a guided nighttime tour of the main monuments in León took place.

Social Ecological Theater Teaching Guide (Final Didactic Guide)
Execution dates: 01-11-2022 to 15-01-2024
Description of the activity:
Development by the teachers who conducted the pilot and testing courses of the project, led by Mr. Fernando Paniagua Blanc, of the final drafting of the «Manual for Socio-Labor Integration through Theater Practice for Refugees and Asylum Seekers in the European Union». The process began through the exchange of impressions among the teachers regarding the experiences gained in each of their courses and the groups they worked with. The goal was to identify the dynamics that worked best and analyze which activities were most effective in achieving the socio-occupational integration objectives for the participants. This led to the inclusion of a complete set of specific activities to be implemented in the TSE courses, serving as a guide for future teachers interested in implementing the pedagogy outlined in the manual. Similarly, during the Consensual Meeting, it was agreed to implement various aspects of the guide to give it its final form. The guide was drafted by Dº Fernando Paniagua Blanc, with contributions from Dª. Inês Falcão Luís, Dª Guilia Romolini and Dª Annalisa Saviozzi. This resulted in a comprehensive didactic guide aimed at training trainers, combining theoretical-pedagogical explanations with a manual of practical theatrical exercises designed for the occupational integration of asylum seekers and beneficiaries of international protection in the agroecological field.
